The packaging is pretty similar obvious the Kevyn Aucoin is smaller.įrom L-R CHANEL Soleil Tan, Kevyn Aucoin Creamy Glow Duo Contour, Tom Ford Shade, Makeup Revolution Matte Malibu, MAC Studio Fix NW50, Tom Ford Illuminate, Benefit Watts Up, Kevyn Aucoin Creamy Glow Duo Highlighter, Benefit Sun Beam, Soap and Glory Hocus Focus Can Kevyn Aucoin please send me a tub of the contour and highlight pls. The only downside is how teeny it is, there’s only 4.5g of product in the whole thing. And the highlighter is deffo more suitable for yellow/olive skintones. Super Pigmented, Easy to Blend and Long lasting! Both the highlight and contour last all day without me setting it with a powder contour and highlight. The contour colour is perfect, it’s similar to Tom Ford’s but slightly more taupe, the consistency of this is what I was expecting from Tom Ford’s. It’s the most creamy dreamy contour and highlight kit I’ve used. Kevyn Aucoin always meets my expectations and their Creamy Glow Sculpting Duo is the one. Tom Ford just cannot compare to my love of Kevyn Aucoin. I don’t think I can even call this a cream contouring product, its poop coloured slightly less slippery Vaseline. This isn’t pigmented enough, its too sheer for a strong contour.Sometimes it can be hard to blend too because it can take some foundation off and unlike most cream contouring products I’ve used, this just isn’t creamy. Its still super emollient not as emollient as the highlight and doesn’t look shiny on the skin either. I don’t like warm contours but that’s a personal opinion. The “Shade” side- I didn’t hate this as much, its an okay colour but can at times look too orange on the skin. I’m so tempted to see if Vaseline gives the same result lol. Its also too silver for my liking, its not obvious on me, but I imagine on deeper skintones the silver will be more obvious. When applied the highlighter does give a nice glow without any shimmer & doesn’t emphasise imperfections at all etc but it tends not to last very long (I did a swatch about 15 minutes ago and its faded) and doesn’t work well when applying on top of heavier matte foundations. Much too slippery too last on the skin unless you had mature or very very dry skin. The first thing I noticed was how emollient this was, especially the highlighter. Like Vaseline emollient. Not exactly the most impressive for the price tag keeping in mind the Makeup Revolution Matte Malibu Blush Stick is £5 for 12g and the CHANEL Soleil Tan Bronzer is £32 for 30g. There is 14g of product (so 7g contour and 7g highlight). It is indeed very pretty looking but to me it feels very light (almost cheap), but it is convenient to carry around and has a huge mirror inside too, with “Tom Ford” imprinted across the bottom. On with the review- this product comes housed in the typical luxurious Tom Ford packaging with a suede sleeve. Well not unfortunate cus why would you want to buy this crap. This comes in a lighter shade (Intensity 1) but not a darker shade, which is unfortunate on those with deeper skin tones. The Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate in Intensity 2 is £57.00 available from all Tom Ford stockists.
